3 Little Steps

Mila's "Birthday Week" is officially over. How did my sweet and tiny bundle turn into a sassy big girl on the move? It's definitely bitter sweet but if she stayed little forever, we would miss moments like these....! (prepare for cute-ness overload).

It was pure luck that Damond grabbed my phone and started recording. We just thought that the naked little chubber looked so cute trying to walk...we had no idea that this would be the day that she actually would! (Hence my screaming like a lunatic in the background, haha.) I realize that it's only 3 little steps but it's the first 3 steps of all the steps she will take on her journey. Tear. I'm bracing myself for my little bundle running around the house like a full-fledged diva! For now, 3 little steps is enough for me!!!

Mila's Birthday Eve

Today is Mila Viv's 1st "Birthday Eve.” I simply cannot believe that tomorrow, she will be ONE YEAR OLD! Everyone told me that the time would pass so quickly, and it did! The best part? I can honestly say that I held on tight to every possible moment that I had with her this year. I laid with her every night, even though people told me I would be creating a monster (which I totally did)! I danced with her, sang with her, took millions of pictures and perfectly memorized the scent of her hair. Obsessed? Yes, but she couldn't be more worth it!

Tonight marks the EVE of her arrival and the night that we feasted on lobster! I was 2 days over-due and just waiting. We are convinced that the lobster sent me into labor, so we decided to start a tradition that every April 17th will be lobster night at our house. Not too shabby of a tradition, huh?

 

To my little sweet cheeks…I can’t wait until tomorrow, to reminisce on your arrival, kiss your pretty face and celebrate YOU. I look forward to the next 50+ birthdays. You are so special.
